Potomac Home Learning Circle (PHLiC)
Hagerstown, MD and surrounding areas (Martinsburg, WV)  http://www.phlic.org A group of families working together to make homeschooling our children a rewarding and communal experience. Our group is secular, not faith-based, and all-inclusive. We hope to attract open-minded individuals seeking a progressive environment in which to grow and learn with our children, as well as create lasting friendships. North Central 

Catholic Homeschoolers of West Virginia  Morgantown, WV – St. John’s University Parish. Our group has been meeting for more than 10 years. We gather on the first Friday of each month to study Scripture, the lives of saints, catechism, and virtues. The group is subdivided into 4 smaller groups: younger boys (up to age 12), younger girls (up to age 12), older boys (13 and up), and older girls (13 and up). We gather to celebrate the liturgical year, for field trips, to participate in service projects, etc. A Catholic group open to all who are interested. Monongalia Area Homeschoolers Association

Services we provide: newsletters, field trips, monthly meetings, playgroup, special events and activities, annual testing, portfolio evaluators. Trinity Home Educators Supporting in Service (THESIS)  http://thesis-wv.blogspot.com. A support ministry of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Fairmont to homeschooling families in a four-county area. It is co-operative, requiring parental participation of all member families. Activities include  enrichment classes for Pre-K through high school, field trips, whole group events, moms’ events, and testing services, all with a distinctly Christian emphasis. Members must be homeschooling and able to sign and uphold the THESIS statement of faith and values.

 

Northwest

Calhoun County Homeschoolers  A casual group that meets most Fridays from 1-3 pm at Upper West Fork Park, Route 16 in Chloe for socialization and support. Members are glad to answer questions for new and potential homeschoolers. While there is no schedule of activities, input and ideas are welcome. Everyone is welcome.
